March 31: Deadline for Greenleaf Visiting Library Scholars Progra

Dear Graduate Students,

The University of New Mexico's Latin American and Iberian Institute invites applications for the 2009-2010 Greenleaf Visiting Library Scholars Program. The program provides fellowships enabling junior faculty members and graduate students from the United States and abroad to use the resources of the Latin American Library collections at UNM.
The grants are intended for scholars from institutions who do not have access to extensive Latin American library resources.

The Greenleaf Visiting Library Scholars program provides three separate awards: one long-term (minimum three months) award for $10,000 and two short-term (minimum two weeks) awards for $2,000 each to help defray travel and housing costs for Albuquerque, New Mexico.

For more information on the program, please go to http://laii.unm.edu/funding/richard-e-greenleaf-visiting-library-scholar/

Applications are due March 31, 2009. Please contact Keira Philipp-Schnurer at kphilipp@unm.edu or 505-277-2961 for more information.

Sincerely,

Dr. Witherspoon

Dean of the Graduate School

P.S. Please remember that Lucia Dura (ldura@miners.utep.edu) is available at the Graduate School to assist with all fellowship applications--particularly the written portions. Please contact her for more information.
